and Siting Utility Projects, Montreal EXPERIENCE: With 31 years of experience in Research Methodologies, Public Involvement and Community Outreach, Environmental Planning, and Project Management, Ms. Mix provides the organizational and managerial techniques necessary to research, write, interpret, and respond to all industry and governing agencies' guidelines, regulations, permits, codes, and ordinances. Coupled with her extensive experience with airport authorities, planning commissions and government councils as an elected official, she is able to anticipate the concerns of the public, elected and appointed officials, and recommend appropriate project-related action. She also has extensive experience in conducting public involvement/information meetings, as well as an accurate and thorough knowledge of impact assessment methodology, government codes, legislative regulations, and other jurisdictional regulations which affect project licensing, implementation, and permitting. Through her familiarity with resource management and data bases, she has implemented an innovative Geographic Information System (GIS) using software for the development of Automated Mapping Facilities Management (AM/FM) and Environmental Data Bases. 1993 - present, President, MPE LTD, Belize. An environmental and land use planning and consulting firm specializing in environmental regulatory compliance and permitting, environmental clearance documents (EA, EIS, EIR, EIA), public involvement/outreach facilitation, impact assessment and mitigation methodologies, and GIS-related applications. 1997 – January 2005, Commissioner, Blaine County Board of Commissioners, first woman to be elected and served as Chairman, 1999-2004; utilizing environmental planning techniques for protection of community resources. 1988 – January 2005, Member/Chairman of the Friedman Memorial Airport Authority, the governing authority for the 2nd busiest airport in Idaho, serving the Sun Valley resort area.
1984 - 1997, Council Member/Council President, City of Hailey, Idaho, first woman to be elected. Wrote and administered ICDBG $257,000 block grant for infrastructure, and $1.5 million EDA grant. 1985 - 1994,
