Downwind rotor with 2 blades of laminated wood/epoxy (Gougeon Brothers). Tip vanes for over-speed control.

A 20 kW Turbine was also fabricated.

Energy Sciences Incorporated (ESI) was located in Boulder, Colorado. Senior Engineer, Sandy (C.P.) Butterfield.

In 1994 the California Energy Commission reported a rest of 35 ESI Turbines Installed in California with a capacity of 1.8 MW ( average 51 kW)
